Philip Doyle

Philip is a medical doctor qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 2018 with a medical degree and a first class honours in medical sciences. He started rowing in 2014 during his second year of university in Queen’s boat club. This led him to become a member of the Irish rowing team after graduating in 2018. 

He splits his time between working as a doctor and rowing with the national team in the men’s double sculls where he has picked up multiple World Cup medals and most significantly came second in the 2019 World Championships, which also qualified him for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Philip has also qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics and is currently sharing his training journey on Instagram. Philip creates engaging and light hearted videos which give an insight into his day to day.
